From the Streets to Photography: The Biography

Born in Maryland (United States), Perry was a skateboarder before turning to photography.

His career in photography began as a self-taught photographer in Rome in 2014, under the nameWanderdust Photography. He made the capital his home base for nine years, shooting continuously and learning to transform urban chaos into authentic visual storytelling, far removed from any traditional academic approach.

Projects and the Analog Style

His approach to street photography is long-term. He doesn't shoot for the sake of a single image, but to build stories. His major works include:

  • When in Rome:Seven years of analog photography documenting the human fabric of Rome, completely removed from the tourist experience.

  • Street Skateboarding – The Act of Resistance:A visual documentary exploration of skate culture.

  • International Projects:Global-scale projects suchas “Sincerely Cuba,“Where the Wild Roses Grow,“Sabbia e Sale,” and“Devil Lived.”
