The Exhibition: “Underground – The World Below”

On Friday, May 29, our venue will host the group exhibition“Underground – The World Below,” an exhibition created to pay tribute to Rimini-based photographer Marco Pesaresi and his book of the same name, one week after the screening—organized in collaboration with the Nuovo Cinema Aquila—of the documentary dedicated to him: *Il Granchio Nudo*.

“Underground” is a seminal work of contemporary reportage, in which Pesaresi has documented the life, comings and goings, and atmosphere within the subway systems of ten global metropolises: New York, Tokyo, Kolkata, Paris, London, Milan, Moscow, Mexico City, Madrid, and Berlin.

A dialogue between established masters and emerging authors

Photography is about sharing. That is why this exhibition is conceived as a collective journey that explores the theme of “underground places”—a subject dear to Pesaresi—through the eyes of established photographers alongside emerging talents in the field.

The exhibition will feature works by: Lorenzo Castore, Aldo Feroce, Christian Reister, Efi Longinou, Hector Faya, Sunny Quintero, Giulia Pissagroia, Giuseppe Cardoni, Josh Endgoose, Alex Liverani, Tatsuo Suzuki, Forrest Walker, Federico Arcangeli, Martino Chiti, Diego Bardone, Michele Corleone, Julie Hrudovà, Fabio Renzi, and Marco Sconocchia.
